1. Prices and Terms
The Company reserves the right to alter prices without notice. Terms are cash and carry. Where goods are invoiced at special prices agreed at the time of ordering it is conditional on payment being made on the due date. The Company reserves the right to incorporate a credit charge of 2.5% monthly on overdue accounts. Orders under £100 are subject to a minimum order charge of £10.00. Occasionally materials and colours may vary slightly from images on this site. All items are subject to VAT with the exception of children's wear and edibles.
2. Carriage
Goods are consigned by a 24 hour insured service. A before 12 noon or before 10.00am next day service is available on request. All charged at cost. Orders over £250.00 carriage free, UK mainland (excluding Scottish Highlands). Europe & Ireland charged at cost. Please note we cannot be held responsible for delivery delays experienced by our carrier for any reason, including adverse weather conditions, mechanical or technical failures and so on.
3. Cancellations
All orders placed are deemed to be firm commitments. The Company does not accept returned ordered goods unless by prior arrangement and reserves the right to charge a restocking / handling charge of 20% up to 30 days from delivery and 50% over 30 days. All returns must be accompanied by the date of purchase and invoice number. Goods returned without this information cannot be processed.
4. New Customers
The Company reserves the right to refuse to supply goods until satisfactory trade status is established.
5. Damaged Goods
Written notification must be received within 48 hours of receipt of goods, for damaged goods and shortages.
6. Retention of Title
Title to goods supplied will remain with the Company until full payment is received by the Company. Goods supplied against uncleared funds remain the property of the Company until paid for in full. The Company reserves the right to require the customer to deliver back to the Company immediately any goods supplied and not paid for. The Company retains the right to enter upon the customer's premises to repossess goods not paid for in full.
7. Trading with General Leathers (Walsall) Ltd implies acceptance of these TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE.

9. Health and Safety
Please note in accordance with legislation under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1972, General Leathers (Walsall) Ltd ARE UNABLE TO HANDLE ANY HORSE CLOTHING OR EQUIPMENT UNLESS IT IS CLEAN AND DRY, due to the hazards involved with the repairing and handling of horse clothing and associated products.
10. Online Trading
By requesting an online trading account with General Leathers (Walsall) Ltd, you agree to receive email communications from us. These are essential to the operation of the online ordering system and to the communication of offers and product information. No credit card details are taken or stored on this website. Please do not send full credit card details via this website or by email: both formats are transmitted in plain text and are therefore insecure. General Leathers (Walsall) Ltd accepts no liability for lost or stolen credit card details that have been sent in this manner. Please communicate new card details via telephone. If you need to refer to a card in electronic communications, please only give the last four digits of the card number.
11. Recommended Retail Price
The recommended retail price for products is trade price plus 70% plus VAT (where applicable). Some discretion is exercised to permit retailers to be competitive, run temporary promotions and so on. However, where products are being consistently retailed at significantly lower prices, we reserve the right to investigate the retailer's business credentials, to ensure they are a bona fide 'trade' customer. General Leathers (Walsall) Ltdl is a 'trade only' supplier operating Business-to-Business; we anticipate that margins will be in keeping with normal business overheads.
12. Technicals
By using our website you agree that General Leathers (Walsall) Ltdwill not accept responsibility for any economic losses, any loss of goodwill, reputation or indirect losses due to any technical errors on the Website or delays out of our control.
We reserve the right to alter these Terms and Conditions without notice.
